Where We Build Their Futures
Be A Part Of The YMCA Community Of Learners: Get Involved Today
At the Family YMCA of the Desert, Child Development Centers (CDC), we believe parents and guardians are our most valuable partners in helping young children grow, learn, and thrive. When families are engaged, children feel more supported—that makes all the difference!
Ways To Get Involved
Join our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)! The PAC is a great way for families to get involved by offering input on program activities and curriculum, sharing ideas and feedback with staff and leadership, supporting family events, and helping build a stronger school community. Meetings are held monthly, either in-person or virtually, with a flexible time commitment—participate as much as you’re able! All parents and guardians are welcome, no experience needed. Families can also volunteer during Community Helpers Week, read a story, assist with special projects, or take part in our annual events—children love seeing their grown-ups involved.
Help With Events And Field Trips
We love hosting fun and educational events for our families—we need your help to make them great! From planning to set up to accompanying your child on a field trip, there’s a role for everyone.
